Slumdog Millionaire

"Shut up! The man with the Colt 45 says shut up!" - Salim
This movie was very inspiring for us, we really really enjoyed it. We give this movie an absolute ★★★★★ 5/5 stars! We loved it. The main reasons why this movie was so great was it had an incredible story behind it, we liked the music in it, and the actors were prefect for the parts.

The story was just amazing. We love how everything was played out through out the entire movie. We think the best part in the movie was when Salim gave Latika his keys and cell phone and let her go. It was a powerful scene. Throughout the movie, we didn't like Salim cause he was a jerk to his brother and Latika, but after this part came, We wish he wouldn't have died. We like how this movie kind of shows how things used to be. The most terrible part in our opinions was when that little kid was blinded and was singing for money, it was so sad. It really spoke out to us. The flashbacks were the best thing they could have tied into this movie, It really just made the movie perfect.

We loved the music in this movie. Paper planes by M.I.A. is a good song. Also we really liked the song it played a lot when Latika was in the train station. The music really plays a big part in movies. It adds to the scenes a lot. It basically makes the scene, that's why it is important to pick music that people will like and that goes with the part very well, in this movie, the music went excellent with the scenes in the whole movie!

I never forgot. Not for one day. I knew I’d find you in the end. It’s our destiny. - Jamal.
We loved the characters in this movie, they played really good. They picked perfect people to show them from when they were little, then middle aged, and finally older. We like how with the characters, Jamal and Latika liked each other a lot and Salim didn't want her there. Usually both of the brothers would have been fighting for the girl, We liked how they switched it up a little bit.

"Final question for twenty million rupees, and he's smiling. I guess you know the answer." - Prem Kumar. This is the final part of our review. Just overall, this movie was amazing, everything about it. After watching it, we can't imagine it being different. Everything was just well put together, we really didn't notice any differences from regular films and this independent film.

You start when you first step foot through the front doors on your first day, then you find your locker in freshman hallway, then you suddenly become a sophomore and realize how much you are changing through the years, next you are a junior, and finally a senior and then you are walking out of the school, a graduate, ready to move on to bigger better things.

The Graduate

"Look, maybe we could do something else together. Mrs. Robinson, would you like to go to a movie?" Benjamin Braddock
In this late 60's, racy comedy, The Graduate, Benjamin Braddock plays an annoying, monotone, fresh out of college, 21 year old virgin who gets caught up in an affair. We would have to give this movie a ★★★☆☆ 2.5/5 stars. There were likes, and dislikes. One of the things we did like was some of the comedy. The things we didn't like, was the repeat of the Simon and Garfunkel song and also the lame acting.

For being a comedy, it really wasn't THAT funny, but it did have some funny parts we'll admit. One of our favorite funny scenes was when Ben came downstairs and told his parents that he was going to marry Elaine and then they were about to call her parents and then he said he doesn't think that's a good idea because she doesn't know yet, and then his father said, "What makes you think she wants to marry you?" And his reply was, "Oh she doesn't. To be perfectly honest, she doesn't even like me." Then he bluntly walks out. We just found that really funny.

"Hello darkness, my old friend, I've come to talk with you again,..."
That. Song. Gets. Annoying! It was good at the beginning we were excited that there were actually words in the music this time, BUT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, come on. That’s just how things are with us though, we are so used to watching movies with at least like 10 songs in it throughout the movie, but one song seems ridiculous, but at least it had words this time.
Now, the acting. In our opinion, Ben most of all had terrible acting. Yeah, I'm sure Dustin Hoffman was so dreamy back then, but We think his voice was annoying and his acting was kind of lame. We've only seen one other movie with him in it that we know of and that is Meet the Fockers, which he did a good job in that, so perhaps it was just the roll he played in this movie. I don't know, but Elaine was annoying when she was in the place Ben was staying, I mean who screams like that, seriously?
One last thing, We didn't really like the story line, at least parts of it anyways. Like, Why did Mr. Robinson care so much if Ben had an affair with his wife when number one, she made it clear they don't have anything anymore, and number two, they don't even sleep in the same bed, let alone room! Another thing, he went on one date with Elaine and they "fell in love", now they ran away and want to get married? There is no way in the world that we would ever keep dating someone who had an affair with our moms! One last thing, how did no one notice that Mrs. Robinson was out EVERY NIGHT with Ben, I mean really, sure Mr. Robinson fell asleep early cause he worked a lot, but still, there is no way he wouldn't have noticed, especially since it was going on for so long.
Mr. Braddock - "I want to say one word to you. Just one word." We got a word for you, Lame, that describes this movie, That is just our own personal thoughts though. Over all, this movie would never be watched again by us, there is no way.

☠Psycho☠

"Well I'm not a fool. And I'm not capable of being fooled! Not even by a woman!" - Norman Bates
In this classic horror film, Psycho, Norman Bates is the main character and he plays a freaky motel manager who pretends to be his mother. This movie was GREAT, both of us think so. We give this movie a ★★★★★ 5/5 stars. Mostly because we LOVE LOVE LOVE horror films, but also because it had a cool twist to it, and also it was actually a little more suspenseful than we had expected.

WE LOVE HORROR FILMS. PERIOD. So this was an excellent movie for us. Even though it was old and in back and white, which as you should know, we don't like! It didn't really bug us at all. Though out the movie, we didn't even notice that it was black and white. Horror films are in our opinion the best movies because we just love being scared, it gets the blood pumping and adrenaline going. Norman played such a creepy character in this movie, some of the things he said, and the main thing he did!

"We have 12 cabins, and 12 vacancies!" Norman Bates.
In a way, there was two twists to the movie. First off, the movie led you thinking that Marion Crane was the main character, although she kind of was one of them, she just got killed off and it went to something different. Now the other twist was that Normans mother is dead! But he has this weirdo motherly side of him that thinks he is is mom, he is the psycho! "You know what I think? I think that we're all in our private traps, clamped in them, and none of us can ever get out." - Norman Bates. We think this is part of the twist, he is in a private trap of his mother, hes clamped in it, and will never get out.

This is where the classic shower scene killing originated. We weren't expecting Norman('s mother) to come out of nowhere and kill her. It made us jump. Same thing as when the private investigator was going up that first flight of stairs and there was Norman, pretending to be his mom again and killed him. That made us jump too. It was also kind of BAM when Marion's sister turned around Normans "mother" and it was just her bones and hair with a dress on. Then out comes Norman to kill her. The music in this movie defiantly made it suspenseful. You can't just show the image and have no creepy music in the background.

Overall, this movie was great. We like how the scenes from back then are what we see now. Without watching this movie, We never would have known that some of these scenes originated from the old movies. This is defiantly a good movie for a girls horror night! "No! I tell you no! I won't have you bringing some young girl in for supper! By candlelight, I suppose, in the cheap, erotic fashion of young men with cheap, erotic minds!"
