Gone With the Wind!

In this Dramatic, Romantic, War movie, Gone with the Wind, you may find your self very annoyed at times by one of the main characters, Scarlett. We give this movie a ★★★★☆ 4/5 star because it really got our attention more than we thought it would, the characters(SOME) were very interesting to follow throughout the movie, and it really showed how life was back in 1939 compared to now.

What we mean by it really got our attention more than we thought it would was, when you think of movies in 1939, you think of black and white, boring, slow, and old films. Compared to now days, the scenes don't change as much as we are used to, and they don't have much clarity and color to them. For instance, Scarlett always wore green dresses and since back then there was only red and green technicolor, the green was very bright and enhanced.

Now the characters! First off, SCARLET IS ANNOYING! She loves Ashley, but she marries some one else, they die. She still loves Ashley, but flirts with all the guys. And she still loves Ashley, but she steals her sisters guy for money, then he dies too. AND THEN.. She still loves Ashley, but wow does Rhett have a lot of money, so she marries him, and has a little girl with him, but don't forget, she STILL loves Ashley. Who is Ashley? Hes an ordinary guy, who likes to lie, and lead girls on. He has Scarlett hooked on his little leash, but its like an invisible leash that Melanie, his WIFE, can't know about. Yes, Melanie, the sweet, innocent girl. The girl that would do anything for anyone, the girl that is basically clueless to her loser husbands leading on and lying, such a sweet girl, so blindsided by her own sweet ways. Another main character is Rhett. We loved following him throughout the movie. The studly man, with all the money. He acts like a player, but in our opinion, hes probably a true to heart guy to any woman he would love. Dumb Scarlett didn't realize what she lost when she lost him.

We really liked how this movie was showing how life was back then. The slaves, the clothing, the war, and so on so fourth. It was interesting how in the movie, even after the slaves were freed, most still stuck around and kept waiting on the families. It was kind of odd how it portrayed falling off a horse and dying, it was very "ironic" I guess you can say how first Scarlett's dad fell off one and died, but then, kind of in a sense tying up the movie, Scarlett and Rhett's daughter Bonnie died the same way. The clothing that they wore was so much different to what we wear now and it was kind of cool to see. We personally would actually wear some of the clothes that they used to. Also, we like how the movie portrayed how war was. All the dead bodies shown when Scarlett, Melanie, and her baby, and Prissy went through that valley place really kind of reached out to us.

After watching the movie, we both agree that its absolutely something that we would watch again, or maybe a few times. It's like one of those chick-flick movies you just can't get enough of.
